For spring summer 2004 Helmut Lang was inspired by the lightness of structure and the iredescent color of dragonflies. He started his show with clothes layered in beige and white, with delicate bandages loosely wrapping trousers ( from blog page ), and holey T-shirts under slim suits. The presentation continued with garments in color; brick red, beige, purple, and green, with sudden flashes of reflective materials and slithery, synthetic translucencies. some of the abstracted forms have become removed from their recognizable function like upside down sweaters and the metallic protrusions with jersey wraps tied around the hips.

For this page I used images from the ad campaign of spring summer 2004, with the metallic constructions wrapped around the hips.
