paris born Isabel marant began making clothes as a teenager and launched twen, her first knitwear and jersey brand in 1989. After studying design at the prestigious Studio Berçot fashion school, she founded her namesake label in 1994. Creating a laid-back Parisian aesthetic with a romantic, bohemian edge, Marant designs clothes she would want to wear herself, even trying on every piece before it leaves her workshop.
