New York based Proenza Schouler was founded by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez in 2002. The designers met while studying at Parson’s School of Design eventually collaborating on their senior thesis, which became their first collection as Proenza Schouler.
Proenza Schouler is named after the maiden names of their mothers. They draw inspiration from contemporary art and youth culture, defined by its fusion of craftsmanship and attention to detail with an emphasis on tailoring and the use of custom developed fabrics.
Eschewing the technical fabrics they’ve become known for, the duo behind proenza schouler wanted to go back to basics for autumn winter 2019. photograhs above are made by j’dee allin, published by dazeddigital.com.
