The two women behind Bless are the Paris-based Desiree Heiss and the Berlin based Ines Kaag. Their work is best described as a blend of product and clothing design, centered around the philosophy of creating new solutions in the world of fashion, sports, visual arts, design and architecture. By not imposing any limit to its creativity, Bless demonstrate a deep interest for recycling, misusing, undoing materials as well as using traditional and artisanal tenchniques. instead of naming their collection after the season the products will be sold at, bless decided to classify their series with numbers. BLESS has exhibited at prestigious institutions worldwide including Centre George Pompidou in Paris, Villa Noailles in Hyères, Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, Centre d’Art Contemporain in Genève and MOMA in Tokyo. They won twice the ANDAM Fashion Award, in 1999 and 2004.
